I have a "1 -Outlook 2016- EnableADAL & Modern Authentication prior to account setup or if seeing old-style password prompt.reg" file that I run whenever I have issues. With it disabled, I would get the old-style password prompt and it would fail. I always ENABLE it to make connections work. In your other post, you mentioned a registry value that disables ADAL.
